AMERICORPS

Pima Prevention Partnership serves as a program site for the Arizona AmeriCorps state program, a volunteer and service program funded by the Governor’s Office of Youth, Faith, and Families and the Corporation for National Community Service.

 

PPP’s AmeriCorps Project has received AmeriCorps funding since 2006 and has the longest standing State Program in Arizona.

​

AmeriCorps members assist with programs of the PPP, Pima Partnership Academy, Pima Partnership High School  B-Unique Teen Pregnancy Prevention, AZ Rise Mentoring Program and Justice Program with Youth Leadership and Workforce Development.

  • 207 individuals have completed their PPP AmeriCorps term, contributing more than 130,000 hours of service to our community. Many have completed two or more terms.

  • Nine PPP AmeriCorps Member Volunteers have been hired with PPP. 

  • PPP’s AmeriCorps Project has AmeriCorps members return each year to serve additional terms.

  • During the past two years, 52 percent of PPP AmeriCorps Members have re-enlisted for an additional term.

  • Over 9,000 hours of service is provided to Pima Prevention Partnership each grant year.

  • Last year alone, PPP AmeriCorps Member contributions to PPP equaled the work of almost four full-time staff
