A Learning Environment for 7th and 8th Grade Students
Pima Partnership Academy (PPA) offers a unique learning environment for students in a state-of-the art facility, which includes high technology, highly-qualified teachers, and high expectations of students. This facility is located on a 1.8 acre campus that also includes Pima Partnership High School, a North Central Association-
accredited secondary school. The campus is easily accessed by major bus routes crossing Stone Avenue and Drachman Street. Free breakfast and lunch is available for qualifying students.
The academic program of PPA integrates six successful strategies to help students learn:
- A "real world" curriculum that includes foundations for career preparation
- A way of teaching that is flexible and responsive to the different learning styles of students
- A staff that participates in ongoing professional development to better serve students
- A school climate that stresses academic excellence, good behavior and kindness to others
- A safe environment with zero tolerance policies regarding illegal drug use and violence
- Meaningful involvement for parents and caregivers to support student learning
PPA will have a small teacher to student ratio (1 teacher per 22 students). To foster a close-knit school community, annual enrollment will never exceed 100 students.
