About PPP

Pima Prevention Partnership (PPP) was started in 1992 with a five-year grant from the U.S. Center for Substance Abuse Prevention. Since that time PPP has grown into an agency with an annual operating budget of $12 million. PPP serves youths and families throughout Arizona. Following its mission “creating conditions for change,” PPP uses a Servant Leadership model to provide programs and capacity-building services to more than 11,000 youth and families each year.

Our Award-Winning Company

PPP has received many local, state, and national awards for its work with vulnerable and underserved communities. In 1999, it was recognized as one of the Outstanding Coalitions in the U.S. by CADCA (Community Anti-Drug Coalitions of America) for its work in delinquency prevention and its inclusion of multiple ethnic and disability cultures in its prevention efforts in Pima County, Arizona. In 2005, the agency’s executive leadership team was honored with the June and Don Jorgenson Sr. Award from Compass Health Care. In 2008, PPP's AZ STARS mentoring for children of incarcerated parents was honored with a Benchmark Program award from the United Stated Health and Human Services Administration for Children and Families. In 2009, PPP received two Science and Service awards from the U.S. Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration for its work with families and youths.
